What Inspires Me?
I found inspiration for my romantic concentration through my own personal experiences in life. I have also found second hand emotions and experiences through friends and family. For example, my parents' divorces have brought out the negative emotions with relationships. I also find inspiration from my past and current romantic relationships. I have interviewed friends and family on how they felt during or after a serious relationship to inspire my creative side for my art. I've also done research on psychological effects of love or heartache to really open up different mindsets of romance.

My Concentration Concept:
My concentration is based on romance, but not the typical emotions associated with relationships. I wanted to incorporate a more real concept of this subject without the assumption of pure happiness. Romance is a rollercoaster of emotions including, jealousy, physical and emotional pain, confusion, or hopelessness. I still wanted to incorporate happiness because relationships result in a multitude of emotions instead of plain happiness or plain sadness.

Technique:
I use many techniques in my artwork. For some pieces I intended to use lighter colors rather than harsh ones to emphasize hard verses light emotions. For example, my anger piece has dark tones of purple and red to show jealousy in her eyes. I also tend to use different sizes to show different zoomed in parts of a body including hands or eyes. i use a multude or brushes and different shading techniques to broaden my art horizon as well. I wanted to use this concentration to test the different types of medium, sizes, and techniques I could work with.
